: : I'm looking for lyrics to MS Home off of Miracle Mule....
Here are those lyrics--from a song session at Tommy's house in Jackson, Ms,
(It was about the first song we wrote together for this "Mule" CD)
All that darkroast coffee grind, and that Quartershine, I left behind
Oystershucking knives, latenight dives, churchbell steeple chimes, I said goodbye
Delivered by a savior with a moving van
Deelivered from the city to the country, man
in my Mississippi Home
I ask my friends to come on up, but it's hard to getem just to call
Itso doggone quiet here, you can hear the roaches climb the wall
Slow rockin', listen to cecada serenade
Old biscuit and a nice tall glass of lemonade
in my Mississippi Home
Aw shucks, don't need much, everything's as cozy as can be
There's an angel in the kitchen and another in the nursery
Slow lovin', mmm mmm, and more lovin, mmm mmm
in my Mississippi Home
Thanks so much for the lyrics. I fell in love with your band in Telluride this year. Had never heard any of your music before then. I'm a fledgling accordian player and play most weekends here in albuquerque. I'm looking forward to learning a few of your tunes and covering them in my set.
thanks again for a great album....
